Zinnea linearis

Zinnea linearis
Since tomorrow is going to be a very pleasant 27degrees C in western Sydney where I will be, I thought I should include this summer to autumn flowering annual which enjoys the heat. This is a compact growing miniature Zinnea reaching about 25 cm in height with flowers about 50mm wide . The flowers are produced in such quantity that they give a carpet like appearance when grown en mass. It is hardy and quite good in not overly rich soils but loves full sun. I like the orange and pink combination as it has a lot of zing.
