Senecio vira-vira

Senecio vira vira
This sprawling shrub which grows to about a metre high, is native to Argentina and makes a great silver accent plant. It will thrive under hot, dry conditions and will tolerate moderate frost. The flowers are lemon coloured "buttons" which can be pruned off once they finish so that the shrub maintains a compact shape. It is good to use on embankments or along pathways if given plenty of space to sprawl. The foliage is soft to touch.
2017 update:I no longer have a plant of this in the garden as it died during a spell of rainy humid weather. I currently don't have any plants for sale either.
